Sculpting the quiet energy within the human body.
Bokyung Kim is an artist who transforms the principles of yoga and the meditative poise of ancient goddess sculptures into contemporary objects. Her works explore the subtle flow of inner energy—Kundalini rising through the body, the serenity of Namaste, and the reflective stillness of a modern Thinker. Through these motifs, she examines how the body becomes both vessel and expression of contemplation.
Characterized by gentle curves, coiled lines, and refined minimalism, Kim’s sculptures reveal the physical and emotional landscapes that lie beneath the surface. Each form captures a moment of tension and release, symbolizing inner balance, awakening, and the quiet strength found in introspection.
Her pieces invite viewers into a state of mindfulness, offering warmth and psychological calm to the spaces they inhabit.
By reinterpreting spiritual gestures, ancient archetypes, and meditative postures, Bokyung Kim creates objets that resonate with presence—small in scale yet expansive in emotional depth.

Bhujangasana, known as the Cobra Pose, draws inspiration from the serpent, which in yogic philosophy symbolizes the dormant cosmic energy within us. This energy, called Kundalini in Sanskrit, is often associated with the coiled form of a snake and its spiraling movement.
To express the awakening of this latent force as it spreads throughout the body, the piece is designed with lines that wrap around the form—beginning at the hips and gradually expanding outward—capturing the sensation of energy radiating through the entire being.
