Description
This wooden bowl is crafted through woodturning, a technique in which the wood is shaped while rotating on a lathe.
Made from the highly rare black persimmon wood, the piece was turned to an exceptionally thin wall of approximately 2–3 mm, allowing the natural deformation that occurs during the drying process to become an intentional part of its expression.
The edge of the bowl accentuates the wood’s distinctive black patterns, highlighting the unique character of black persimmon.
Caution
Please avoid placing the wood object in areas with high humidity, as it is made from natural solid wood. For maintenance, gently wipe the surface with a dry cotton cloth or kitchen towel.
Because wood naturally expands and contracts according to its surrounding environment, fine cracks or slight warping may occur over time. These are natural characteristics of solid wood.
This is a 100% handmade piece, and minor scratches or marks may be present.
As the work has been crafted with thin walls, please handle it with care and avoid impact or exposure to heat.
