The ‘Celandine’ series captures the pure beauty and resilient vitality of celandine leaves blooming between the crevices of rocks. Just as they insist on flowering even in barren environments, I hope small but sturdy joys will bloom in our daily lives.
The leaf shapes are hand-cut from Hanji fragments and colored using the Seumigi (permeating) technique. In particular, a striking black-to-red gradation was added to create a sophisticated point of interest. Each piece is finished with a high-temperature glaze fired at over 1250°C, ensuring it is both durable and food-safe.
