Artist October Kim reinterprets the forms of rocks through a contemporary lens.
Sand and clay—materials born from the weathering of stone—are shaped by hand, wind, and fire before solidifying once again into rock-like forms.
The dense and rugged qualities of stone are retraced through time, becoming a singular object that embodies both transformation and return.
These works are concise, abstract sculptural pieces that convey the artist’s unique worldview and aesthetic sensibility.
