October kim miniature, square

2025

Description

Artist October Kim reinterprets the forms of rocks through a contemporary perspective.
Sand and clay—materials created through the weathering of stone—are shaped by hand, wind, and fire before solidifying once again into rock-like forms.
The dense and rugged materiality of stone is retraced against the passage of time, becoming a singular sculptural object.

“October Kim’s Miniatures” are concise, abstract works that encapsulate the artist’s worldview and aesthetic sensibility in small, distilled forms.

* As the piece is unglazed, please use it only for dry foods. Liquids or soups may cause discoloration.
